DA Right, but does skinny mean underweight? Or just... not overweight i.e. "normal"? If it means normal, can you not see AYRT's point about language and normalization?

I've been called "skinny" when according to my weight and BMI I'm right in the middle of the healthy/normal range (I'm around a 21, so right in the middle and not on the lower end). I'm not skinny - I have definite curves and a butt. I'm just not overweight.

These days, a lot of people use "skinny" to refer to anyone who isn't fat, which distorts the meaning of the word. Not fat =/= skinny by default.
