I don't really understand why you feel skeeved and what Muppet Baby nostalgia has to do with not liking adults drawn as children...

I think the art is cute (I saw a few panels of Superman and Batman as kids, though I'm not sure if it was by the same artist) but I don't think I would read an entire comic of it.

Maybe it just isn't your thing? That's fine.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't bother me if his alt covers weren't treated as a big special deal and advertised and displayed fairly prominently. And I really, REALLY like his non-creepy art! Dammit.

I don't find it creepy, but I don't think it's cute and actually find the comics sort of annoying when I try reading them. I don't get the appeal.

Agreed - but I find that annoying too at this point, because when he wants to, Young can seriously draw, but all his kid stuff that gets treated as the second coming owes WAY too much to Waterson for my liking.

Yeah, kids don't act like that but it's supposed to be cute. Having adult characters get turned into kids so them acting like adults is supposed to be funny.

It's like having a little kid wear suit and tie and carry a briefcase, real kids don't usually dress like that but it's adorable.

Yeah, but his kids are like a weird hybrid of adult and child - I don't want to see a toddler Hulk crying because he doesn't have his bottle. It's creepy.
