I don't like the show much but you really gotta get over hating the fans. All the shit that made them obnoxious seems like it's really run its course.

Not really? Any time Firefly is mentioned, people come out of the woodwork to talk about how amazing it is and how it ended too soon, blah blah blah

And heaven forbid you say some other show ended too soon. Firefly fans are like those people that always want to outdo everyone else.

I should add that I actually like the show.

All I can't say is that I haven't really noticed it. I mean, people who like Firefly certainly like to talk about the show, but that's not really out of the ordinary?

uhhh... so? Firefly comes up in conversation somehow, fan says they love it and wish it hadn't been canceled. That's the extent of your grudge? Honestly, doesn't seem like the problem is them, man, chill a little, live and let live, etc.

Firefly Fan: Well, you got like TWO whole seasons out of it. We only got one and a movie. :( Man, Firefly is great it ended way too soon. Fox totally fucked it up! FIREFLY!

....meh? Seems like a pretty normal-people conversation to me, and that's how geeky discussions tend to go. Perhaps somewhat annoying if it's your friend who brings it up every day after so many years of the show being canceled, but it's still a "positive" conversation that's not attacking anyone or starting any negativity.

So far, "I hate Firefly fans" definitely remains in the lead for being more obnoxious. Especially if you're the type who, whenever someone does mention Firefly, rants loudly about how terrible it was, etc.

I'd take another season of that over Firefly any day.

I like Firefly enough, I think it probably did deserve more seasons... but Captain Power also deserved another season, that's my own personal, "Why did it have to end there?" show.

It is not a competition, that's just the one that I keep thinking about the cliffhanger on.
