I mean I similarly wouldn't understand why a het girl would get invested in a serious way in an F/F ship

JUST TO BE CLEAR HERE I am specifically talking about getting really invested in a ship, not about approving of it or liking it or wanting to read stories about it, but specifically that thing where you're really deeply feeling a ship that OP is talking about

This is me. I'm straight, and I don't really read much in the way of femslash fic and don't get to that level of investment in it.

I think it's mainly just that, for me, since I'm not attracted to women in that way, it's hard for me to really get into that mindset as a result. And someone's comment above about trying to find stories about lesbian relationships that aren't just there as "hot chicks for guys to fap to" makes sense, too-if and when I do read any female/female pairings, I definitely prefer stories that treat their romance as a genuine thing.

Course, I want that in any romance story I read, regardless of the genders involved, so...
