The spamming on Ao3 is the worst. It's like, "Oh. You just posted 20 900 word stories one after another?" I'll not be reading any of those.

But really, is there something stopping them from releasing their fics over a longer period of time? Instead of 20 at once?

Or compiling their 20 drabbles into one story?

Because it's easier to post when they have time? Because doing it all at once makes easier to not forget posting some fics?

With drabbles you have a point, but only if you're talking about drabbles of the same character/ship or at the very least the same fandom.

Otherwise? Please, authors, spam by posting them separately, because it's far more frustrating to search for long fics/rare parings just to find drabbles collections.

Well, I only search by character tags, so they are all the same character involved.

And hey, authors can do what they want. But I won't read their fics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, I do rec a lot of fic. So, an author I would otherwise read and enjoy, would be missing out on me reccing their fic all over the place.

What would you consider a valuable reader? Someone who doesn't ever get annoyed by authors?

I consider a valuable reader to be one who comments, kudos, and shares your fic.

The only time it's an issue for me is if they don't bother to set the original posting date. Because then it looks like they have posted a whole ton of new stories when in fact, of course, they haven't. It's just a bunch of reposts.
