Honestly, I can kind of see where OP is coming from on this one. I used to hang out in a fanwork-friendly comm where one of the more prolific authors used to constantly push their work at everyone. Pretty much every conversation eventually came back to, "I wrote a fic about that!" at some point, sometimes multiple times. And if it wasn't "I wrote a fic about [conversation topic of the moment]!", it was "Did I mention that I posted [newest installment of epic WIP]?" It got to be A Bit Much, you know?
