Re: Characters who started out as bad but became good

+1 to G'Kar and Londo and the Maximoff twins. I don't think Wand and Pietro were outright evil, either, but they were driven by revenge and did some terrible things along the way, before they decided to try to stop Ultron and allied with the Avengers, not least was Wanda loosing the Hulk on a civilian population.

I'd also add Scott Lang, to an extent. He wasn't outright evil, but it was clear that he was an experienced burglar. Even though he did the Vista job for the right reasons, the things he did were still crimes.

Raina on Agents of SHIELD might qualify, too. She was more self-serving and amoral than evil but she still did a lot of nasty things in persuit of her own agenda. But at the end, she did seem to be honestly trying to help others, and she saved Skye's life.
