Do you fap to porn in fics?

Rarely. Sometimes it's non-smut scenes that I get off to also.

No because I find it hard to hold my laptop, scroll, and twiddle my bean all at the same time. But it's fab for getting turned on and then finding some porn I can imagine is the charaters.

I'm usually sitting on my bed, so it isn't that hard. I usually start with the fics and then move on to either porn or porny fanart if I need it (or sometimes vice versa). It just depends on what I'm in the mood for. Either words or visuals can do it for me.

Yes, though for me it's more that I usually find it easier to find the kink I'm craving at that moment on AO3 rather than erotic story sites. So for me it's not really about the fact that it's fanfic (I usually don't care about what fandom it is) and more how convenient I find tags there. Also with fic I don't have to read the awful cookie cutter description of women that is so common with a lot of Internet erotica.

The downside is having to wade through disturbing amounts of Extreme Underage with some kinks (like Daddy Kink for instance) :/

Yes.

Not exclusively, everything has its place, but a hell of a lot. Sometimes because (as another anon said) it's easier to find quality written erotica for certain kinks. But honestly, a lot of the time, I'm turned on by the fact that it's those characters as much as by anything else.

Not while actively reading them, no. I've fapped at a later time about some vague general idea present in fics, but never over a specific fic.

Sometimes, but I usually read it and then fap afterwards while turned on, sometimes re-visualizing the scene in my head.

Also, I'm a little weirded out by some of the comments above. Seriously? Some people can't get off without a stimulus? That's...that sounds kind of odd.

People need different things to get off. For some people it comes harder than others.
