Congratulations! This is awesome to hear, especially since it's been such a journey for you! (How long have you been working on this fic? Something like a couple of years, right?)
Hadn't heard from you for a while but I'm so glad you've kept working on it and didn't abandon it. (A lot of long!fic ends up unfinished, which is sad.)
...Guess it's too early for you to have any idea when it'll be posted? (Since you need to edit, and for a fic this long that will probably be a lengthy process in itself.)
Anyway, I'm glad you've made it this far! (And look forward to reading it!)

(Anonymous) 2015-09-12 02:51 am (UTC)(link)I am hoping against hope to at least have the first couple chapters 100% ready to post by the time episodes start up again on October 8th. (The story itself takes place in mid-to-late Season 3, essentially replacing Magic Hour in the timeline, so I'm not too worried about more stuff being Jossed, but there is already at least one scene I have to rewrite because of new information from the first half of season 5.) There are some 'life is a busy thing' roadblocks to that for my beta and me, but even if we miss that deadline I will have this thing available for public consumption as soon as possible and I will throw ALL THE LINKS at this comm, like, the second it goes up.
I gotta tell you, I have been getting such a kick out of your interest in this little project of mine. My fandom friends are few and far between already, and I share this show with exactly one of them (and get weird about having my fanfic identity easily connected to my other online identities), so it's been a real treat having someone else to talk to. Thanks. :)

Yet another reminder that I need to watch the first half of this season... I've seen everything else, though not recently. When the show ends (sobs) I need to do a rewatch.
Season 3 seems like a good place for an epic story, though! I don't mind a bit of jossing here and there, but it's cool that you're trying to remain true to the show; it's easier to believe that way.
Yea, I was thinking, “Wow, I bet it would take at least a good six months to edit a fic that long in-between RL", but since I am not a writer (nor editor) I'm not sure how accurate that is. Do what you have to, though; something that's been in the making this long can wait a while longer!
Come on anon, “little project" is misleading for a 70k+ fic! Haha, but seriously, that's a nice, lengthy fic. Obviously I don't know you TOO well but I'm oddly proud of you for being so close to finishing it! I've been hearing about it and anticipating it for so long.
I know how you feel, though; I don't have any friends who watch Haven so I've always been on my lonesome with it. Not many people in fandom ship Nathan and Duke outside an OT3 sense too, so it feels like we should stick together!
I'm pleased that you are pleased with my interest, though. Whole lot of pleasure. :)
