5. SCANDALOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Fortunately for me, I don't generally run on innuendo. If I ship (which, truth be told, I don't much anymore), it's for straight-up canon or from my brain, and not usually from "OMG SHE SAID ____ WHICH KINDA SOUNDS LIKE SHE WANTS TO BANG HIM"

54. People have kinks. Alternately, people have squicks! Just because there's something worse doesn't mean that furries won't still be gross to some people. Think of it this way- if you told a completely vanilla person that some people like to play with shit while they fuck, that wouldn't make them go "WOW, BDSM IS LIKE TOTALLY NORMAL, I SHOULD TRY THAT WITH MY HUSBAND NEXT WEEKEND". Personally, I'm not "squicked" by very much at all- I just dislike furries.

Yes, there definitely is something wrong with treating those who have that kink as vile and horrible. But that's not what the secret had to do with.

(Additionally, furries aren't the only ones who are treated as vile and horrible for their kink.)

That seems to be what that often translates to, though. "EW FURRIES ARE DISGUSTING". Instead of just...avoiding stuff that squicks you.

(I...never said they were. It does seem to be more acceptable, though.)
