54. So people shouldn't be squicked about fans pretending they're Daffy Duck and they're screwing Bugs Bunny? Don't you see how fucked up that is? Or what about taking some cute animal and sexualizing them, wanting to screw their brains out?

Furries are no better than people who like lolicon.

At least with the other vile kinks, those fans don't try pretend it's normal and they tend keep to their own side of the internet.

I agree... I think the creepiest thing about furries is that they're always looking to be accepted and calling people close-minded for not supporting their sexual interest in animals. You don't really see that in most other gross-fetish-having people.

The only issue is, no matter what fandom, not all of them have gross fetishes. True that there are furries in it for porn and fursuits, but others just like the art and appreciate animals. It's just like in a lot of anime fandoms where people slash people left and right, but not everyone does. The ones wanting to be accepted are probably the ones who are decently sane, although I'm not sure as I've never looked into the furry fandom beyond knowing a few of the 'artist' furries.

You must be living under a rock...is it any more disturbing than when someone pretends their boyfriend is Dr. Who or insert fandom sex object of the moment? It's better if they're pretending to be human characters screwing each other's brains out? Hello double standard!

People, yes people as in normal non-furry human beings, who are sexually attracted to and engage in sexual activities with animals are Zoophiles. They are not the same as furries. While there may be some furries who do their dogs, not all furries are into actual animals.

Yeah, good thing all those pro-incest people stay in their quiet little hidey holes and never come out to try and convince people that it's ok. Gah, you are so full of ignorance, why don't you crawl back to the sewers of the internets ok!

Well...yeah. A human character is still a human. It's a little different when people get off to imagining that they're screwing an animal. But I guess that's more towards the Zoophiles than the furries who just like dressing up/scritching/whatever it's called.
Despite how that sounds, I actually don't have anything against furries (I say live and let live, as long as it's not being shoved at me I'm good) but this statement is pretty silly.

I'm into anthros, and I don't relate to them as animals. The whole point of anthros is that people have taken these characters (like Bugs, who look kind of animalian) but give them human qualities. Real animals aren't remotely attractive because er, they're animals.

Being personally squicked, and turning that into a generalized vendetta against all furries, are two different things. And I (in spite of not being either the OP, a friend of the OP, or someone who was even in the same room as the OP) think that's what this is getting at. There are so many people who hate furries, in proportion to how many furries are actually awful.
