Yeah.... you're still generalizing. Especially if you're using SL and Furcadia as examples.

Don't you feel wierd telling OTHER people that youre not completely familiar with what they're all like?

SL, Furcadia, and FA are the MAIN furry hangouts. Seriously. :/ There's livejournal but those are specific to like, fursuiting etc. Hell, there are more 'gainer furs' lj comms than 'normal' furry communities.

But whatever, you can take it from someone who was in the fandom for the better part of 7 years. but Whatever.

I guess I don't really trust "main" hangouts when im in fandoms or communities, but whatever.

I still don't agree with looking someone in the face and saying "This is how you are. Because I say so, and anything you say is a lie."

But see, here the "main" hangouts are... well, where most of the people are. Normal AND abnormal.

I never said that "this is how you are". I wouldn't tell someone who was a normal, art type furry that they were infact a creepy furfag that raped dogs. I said that the majority of furries are pretty creepy.

You did tho. That girl's a furry, and you said "No, I KNOW better then you, even though you are in that subculture."

.... y...es. I... was in that subculture for several years. I still slightly hang around it to make some spare change here and there off of badges and such.

So... I don't see where you're going with this.

And this girl is telling you that currently she experience something completely different. And you're telling her her experience is wrong.

No, I'm saying she's wrong to deny that the majority of furries are weirdos.

Now theres a distinct difference between ALL WRONG IN THE HEAD and creepy. Theres creepy everywhere. Look at the furry fandom and compare it to, say, the human populace in general. I think, proportionately you have creepy and wrong on both sides.

You're the one with the narrow veiws, if you're saying most furries are normal. Admit your fandom is full of freaks, for chrissakes, that doesn't mean YOU are.

From your POV, based on your definition of where the fur scene 'is'. 'Furry fandom' is a term big enough to drive a mack truck through. Maybe for the sites/part of the scene that she inhabits, 'freaks' who want necro scat babyfur porn are not around.

But... they aren't making a valid point. The point is, ignoring the fact that there are more freaks than normal people in the furry fandom has nothing to do with the fact that there are freaks (a) in other fandoms and (b) all over the world. Furry has the biggest concentratin of freaks anyway.

Kinda late in the game, and you really don't need to reply, simply because I'm wasting my breathe here anyways.

I've known Obsydian for a good six to seven years; and you've got it wrong. She doesn't live in some "fluffy happy" place as you put it. She realizes that there are people that are a part of the furry fandom who are a bit sick minded. Look at her reply from before, and you see that she knows that, the world in general, has sick minded people.

She isn't naive, all she was trying to say is that just because someone uses an animal character (who in general, act more like humans then animals in the first place) isn't always out to be a weird, sex fiend. Its not always about sex...
