men could be Sailor Scouts, but they would become biologically female when transformed.
That's what I thought about the starlights! That they where really male but could become female upon transforming.

(Anonymous) 2015-09-12 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)I think the anime's decision to have the Starlights change gender in their civilian identities is mostly dumb, but once you accept it for what it is, Seiya's case is pretty interesting, especially when you consider the character's behavior with those the teammates in the same situation.

I do remember thinking they were all gender fluid anyway.
There are some people who might not even know they were the same because in some countries they dubbed it as the female version being the twin sister of the guys, smdh
