It is Satan's hairy ballsack hot. I can't water because drought and my plants, not to mention my pets, are miserable. I don't have AC. My mom, who last week abandoned her car in the middle of a parking lot, not in a parking space, because she was either wasted or in some kind of fugue and walked home, leaving me to fetch the car (with bonus parking ticket), is sad and angry that I don't trust her to drive. I should hide her keys but I don't have it in me to fight right now. I did really well on a job interview for a promotion, only to have a customer write up a comment card that's going in my personnel file, calling me the rudest person she'd ever met, just when my references are due to be checked. And I wasn't even rude. It was one of those "loudly indignant customer makes everyone within earshot uncomfortable because it's unfair that the rules apply to everyone" things.
