Okay, IMO, the LGBT(+) is a very loose group of people whose experiences are... kinda similar?? and sometimes they overlap?? but in a lot of ways, they are still separate groups, with separate experiences. A gay man's experience will be different than a lesbian and a cis lesbian's experience will be different than a het trans woman, and in the end "LGBT" is a very loose grouping based on sexuality and gender.

So basically, imo: leaving gay men out would be pointless because the movement is already split into different groups (not a bad thing btw), and they are just one of the groups.
