When I was little I made a comic that had the same premise as the Powerpuff Girls, except it was only one girl who was all three "sugar/spice/everything nice" ingredients. So basically my comic was a "what if their dad's experiment had gone as planned" AU, but before PPG existed. That's probably why I could never get into that show.
