The producers didn't want to trigger dysphoria, so they asked her brother.

Lol, or, you know, her twin brother maybe resembles what she might have looked like if she hadn't transitioned? Making her play that role would be dumb, she doesn't remotely look like a man. It was MUCH cooler to have her twin play that role and to see the difference.

And you know, actors play roles all the time that may be considered "sensitive". They don't have to take it if they don't want it, but there's no reason at all why directors couldn't call for actors to play certain roles. Characters who get raped, experience racism/sexism, are tortured - like, there's no reason at all to draw the line at "pre-transition triggering".
