Ignoring the bank and chicken stuff, I kinda agree with you, OP. It doesn't stop me from reading, but I have the horrible tendency to need to finish a good book once I hit the "point of no return" where it captivates me. And that has resulted in many a long night. (Most recently Friday night when I had to finish A Red Rose Chain.
