Huh. I actually like really pinkish/reddish cocks in fanart*. I think for the same reason I like exaggerated sexual postures (i.e. head thrown back, mouth wide open, back extremely arched, hands in fists, etc.) I just find it hotter. I need to be able to see how good it feels and how bad the characters want it on their faces and in their postures. A really red cock is another one of those cues. I don't have a cock (which is possibly why I can easily enjoy an unrealistic fantasy about one), but by drawing my attention to it with color (and/or size), the artist is inviting me to think about how it feels, how badly the character wants to fuck, what it will feel like when they do penetrate their partner (or just receive stimulation of any kind). All that hotness.

Maybe it's because I don't have a very strong libido, so I can't just look at any half-decent fanart of my OTP having sex and get turned on. My switch is pretty hard to flick, especially when it comes to visual porn. The majority of NSFW fanart does nothing for me.

*OTOH, if the cock is so red/pink that nothing about it even looks like flesh anymore, then yeah, that's probably tipping over into absurdity.
