Faith in humanity

Since the thread yesterday went 100% negative very quickly.

What's something that restored your faith in humanity lately?:

I was pretty bummed out about missing out on the Aldi $20 trampolines and this nice person on a forum is picking up one for me. Gonna meet up Sunday to give them the $ and pick it up.

And this nice German person offered to go to a con for me and pick up a board game I want that isn't in Australia.

Australia has Aldis?! I thought they were completely a UK thing.

I'm pretty sure Aldi is German?!

But yeah we got aldis all over the place. My nearest grocery store is an Aldi! Dunno if it's reached tassie yet but it's in capital cities! We also got Costco now.

Aldi is German, just like Lidl.

I have a friend who's a member! They're called BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse). Here's an older article in the local paper about them:

yeah I think that article you linked is the same one used as the source for the tumblr post.

That's good work.

That is awesome. Good on those guys. Excellent idea.

Speaking of bikers, I remember reading a story in...People, I want to say, a number of years back...about a group of bikers who did work to rescue animals and help give them homes. There was a photo of these big, tough, burly looking guys holding some animals and it was really sweet and made me smile.

Yessss, those folks. They're AWESOME. They tend to be mostly guys but I watched a video about the group (Bikers Against Child Abuse) way back and they had some women, too, which was awesome. Especially when the little girl looked up to the biker chick and told her she wanted to be JUST like her when she grew up so the woman got her a kid sized leather biker jacket. All the d'awws and tears, man.
