IA, Anna did not try to 'stifle' Elsa. It sucks that OP feels their family is doing so (and if that's the case, I hope they realize it one day and stop), but at least in Elsa's world she could keep everything she already had (gorgeous castle, loving sister, etc) and still stay true to herself.

While some people might embrace that kind of seclusion (which, fair enough), Elsa didn't seem to want it.

Plus, as others have said, living alone far from everything (she would have to hunt for food, there's not anything to DO in the ice castle except chill sorry, not sorry) seems like a difficult life, and she would have to adapt to it. Some people don't have that in them. (Or wouldn't want to have to, if they had an alternative.)

Hell, there's several clues during "Let it Go" that supports her not really wanting to be alone. Like the split-second she almost regrets throwing away her crown no I haven't watched it too many times shush

At most Anna was clueless thinking Elsa would just return and fix everything, but once again she had no idea about Elsa's powers and she's naive in general.

Not sure I noticed that! Good call. (Like I said, I only saw it the once...but it was a cute film!)

Yea, that seems to be the case. There's no ill intent with Anna.
