Bellamy and Clarke spent most of season two apart, though they had a handful of intense scenes together.

I honestly don't know how big the ship is in fandom. Usually there's a juggernaut ship in any given fandom, but Bellarke/Clexa seems pretty evenly divided. Add to that, the writers are clearly more interested in resolving Clexa before moving on to anything else, and I don't get the sense that the Bellamy/Clarke shippers are particularly interested in that particular pairing (based on some of their interviews and tweets).

But a couple of Bellarke shippers are pulling out the "social issues" card in defence of their ship. A rant appeared on my dash the other day insisting that Clexa was "anti-feminist" because "feminism is all about celebrating men AND women", which is pretty much up there with the anti-Korrasami "feudal lord/handmaiden" meme in The Legend of Korra fandom.

I ship both pretty equally, tbh. Bellarke and Clexa do seem to be both juggernauts in their own right.

What makes it more hilarious was that it was in response to an article that was actually lauding the female characters of The 100.

So basically they read a pro-female piece and accused it of having a shipping bias while crying: "what about the menz??"
