(Anonymous) 2015-09-16 01:41 am (UTC)(link)I honestly don't know how big the ship is in fandom. Usually there's a juggernaut ship in any given fandom, but Bellarke/Clexa seems pretty evenly divided. Add to that, the writers are clearly more interested in resolving Clexa before moving on to anything else, and I don't get the sense that the Bellamy/Clarke shippers are particularly interested in that particular pairing (based on some of their interviews and tweets).
But a couple of Bellarke shippers are pulling out the "social issues" card in defence of their ship. A rant appeared on my dash the other day insisting that Clexa was "anti-feminist" because "feminism is all about celebrating men AND women", which is pretty much up there with the anti-Korrasami "feudal lord/handmaiden" meme in The Legend of Korra fandom.

Wow. That rant sounds hilarious but infuriating.
