Mmhm. Rabid shippers will likely be obnoxious no matter what they're shipping.

My take is always that if any of my non-canon pairings I like become canon, awesome! If they don't...*Shrugs*. Oh, well.

That said, however, I understand and support gay/bi people wanting to see more relationships like theirs on TV, and I think if het shippers can push for and get all vocal about their favorite pairings, slash shippers should be able to do the same.

And I also agree that whether you're a het shipper or a slash shipper (or both!), if you want to show your support for a pairing you like becoming canon, you should always do so respectfully. There are plenty of ways to do that that are mature and rational.

And if any het or slash fans harass and threaten writers/creators/actors, or insult fans of other ships, or things like that? The people who work on the show should automatically render all their comments null and void. Temper tantrums/death threats/insults should never be rewarded.
