Re: When abortion is regrettable

I've undergone a profound loss of self and agency and choice (really, talk to me about housing and health and finances and lifestyle and career and creativity and relationships and friendships and blah blah everything) since having children, something I chose freely and do not regret, but the idea of doing it when I didn't want to do it is horrifying to me. Especially if I didn't have the resources (emotionally, financially, situationally) to give them a good enough life. And given how little women's agency and embodiment is respected, it is not surprising how often so little weight is given to it when weighing up these no-ideal-world difficult decisions. motherhood =/= (cis) womanhood, even if you put a seed inside and it grows all by itself and you can't stop it by itself.
