sometimes... and sometimes it's absolutely hilarious. (religion threads seem to go one of three ways. total drama, civilized discussion, and complete hilarity. last one tends to require some pretty hands-on moderating to cut the inevitable single person who will attempt dramamongering. by that, i mean name calling and shitting on people's religious choices, not someone being genuinely upset by the convo. big difference.)

but i've always been pretty laid back about religion, and have participated in the good humor joking about religion threads, even when it's been my own. i think the key words there are "good humor". and some people don't like them at all if they are super serious about their religion, or religion in general. i figure there's things in most everything to joke about (which sometimes creeps people out when i'm making jokes about my extremely abusive childhood... i lived through it, and humor is part of what got me through it, so i will damn well joke about it if i want, though at this point i add TWs, cause i tried that on a whim and then got none of the usual shit i would get for it). people are weird.
