Weekend plans

Well, our town's terrible fair will be here this weekend. While I won't be riding any rides, I might go get some funnel cake. I wish they had candy apples. :( Other than that, I will hopefully be doing nothing.

What plans do y'all have?

There's a festival here too, but my dad is in the hospital so visiting him might get in the way

I'm home alone again, this time until Monday evening.

Tomorrow will be the all day Doctor Who marathon in preparation of the season premier. I've cranked the AC down. Sunday is going to be a LOTR extended marathon I think.

If the weather isn't too bad, there might be the possibility of going for a hike somewhere. That would be really nice, considering we've barely had half a day together (doing fun things) since the summer began and now it's practically over.

Other than that, I have a squash and I darn well intend to turn it into pie.

Sorting out my life? Hopefully? By which I mean apply for like a thousand more jobs, sort out whether or not I'm moving back to my home country so I can stop living in cheap pseudo-hostels and waiting in limbo with a draining bank account. I really want to stay in London because there's much more I can do in my field, and there are jobs that are perfect for me... but they are super competitive and I'll require a work visa, which no one wants to give.

So yeah, decide whether I'm moving home like, oh, next week, or whether I'm going to hold out here a bit longer and see if anything falls into my lap.

Welp idling fingers for the next hours. It's kind of cold. Then gonna take the dog out to a special dog park we booked out just for us. The pool is finally open after winter so I hope she likes it.

Then i'm going to go pick up my gardening tools from some mates I leant them to, and borrow their weeder, then text their father-in-law to see if he has a chainsaw i can borrow.

Then i'm gonna come home and probably play Ark if my internet feels like working.

Tomorrow since the dog classes are not on, a bunch of us are getting together from various levels to run drills. I think we'll be the lowest level there so I hope the other dogs rub off on her or something.

Then more ark, maybe some gardening. it's so sunny but so cold

Asheville, NC has a festival of some kind going on this weekend. I might not go since it would cost money and I'm trying to save right now, but I'll probably walk around the city a bit.

Tomorrow I plan on getting really drunk with a friend. There will also be cake and video games, so that will be fun.

Then Sunday I will have a slightly more classy evening, with dinner out with another friend as a birthday present for her, and maybe go see a movie if she wants to. I will hopefully not be very hungover.

Drink tes (since I bought a pile yesterday), marinate chicken, eat cake (when Mum decides she wants it - it's her birthday cake after all), and read fic.

I wouldn't mind finishing my last RP scene either, but that depends on Valandhir and I being online at the same time.

Going to visit a friends new place tomorrow then going out for food in the evening, Sunday is a quiet day of TV watching.

Honestly, I think this will be the quietest weekend I've had in forever.

I want to test out some cookie recipes and just clean up. I feel like I say that every weekend, but last weekend I ended up going to upstate New York and kayaking and then going to an Irish festival, so who knows what this weekend will bring.
