I can handwave the plot holes because Batman's a lot about tone. And I thought The Dark Knight worked really well with it. (TDKR is another matter)

But I dislike that they're trying to put the same dark tone into every DC movie. Because the Superman story isn't like the Batman story. And the tone of Superman is just as important to his story. I just wish the writers would look more at what makes each character special than trying to apply the same formula.

Exactly batman worked so they a trying to make them all batman. I don't know if the rest of the league can survive that. Especially aquaman

I think for an Aquaman film to work it'd have to take an approach similar to what Marvel has done with GotG and Ant-Man. That is to say, not outright farcical, but still embracing the sillier aspects of the character and the reality he inhabits.

Not that there's any chance of that happening. :(

Nope. Not that I mind khal aqua, but he does not look capable of silly

The actor was in Baywatch.

So, you, know, he can do silly. True, he has since mostly moved away from that type of thing, but he has done Drunk History.

Mte, I still like Man of Steel but, Superman isn't Batman. He doesn't need to be dark and gritty as well.
