Is this still going on? I got a couple of volumes years ago and wanted to wait until she was finished before continuing the series.

Yup, still ongoing, but I think I read somewhere that Watase's put it on hiatus again.

See now, I never got on that crazy train. I was done with FY after the OAVs when everybody except the kid and the doctor fell in love with Miaka. 1000% done. I wanted no more of that universe.

FYGK is NOTHING like original FY though. It's like she looked at all the things that made original FY annoying and made FYGK to fix them.

That's good to hear. I don't quite want to get started on unfinished manga, but I may check the library and see if they have it. It's good to hear she learned from the mistake that was

Genbu Kaiden ended like . . . two years ago? Three? I dunno. I just know I walked past my library's manga section, saw all the volumes, and immediately grabbed them and hauled ass to the checkout counter. It's a million times better than the Miaka and Tamahome show. Byakko Ibun was supposed to start this year, but I have no idea if it did or didn't.
