Re: Best twist endings? SPOILERS obviously
The ending of Agatha Christie's "Orient Express". I'm still impressed!

(Anonymous) 2015-09-19 12:47 am (UTC)(link)For my money (/by the time I could appreciate it) her best twist is the end of Murder Of Roger Ackroyd. I've reread it a few times, and every time I do I pick up on a new, totally obvious clue.
Re: Best twist endings? SPOILERS obviously
no subject
Similar to Roger Ackroyd but a lot more personal. I liked that it wasn't a plain old murder, it was the murderer ruining his own life by doing what he did.
(Yay Christie fans!)

What then???
You too, huh?
It's fun watching a movie like that and checking to be sure everything fits two different interpretations. Night did a good job.

Re: Best twist endings? SPOILERS obviously
Then there's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I wouldn't necessarily say it was a twist 'ending' since the true twist comes a bit before the end, but it was still one of my favorite "WHOA, whaaaaaaaaat?!" moments in gaming.
And I'm going to include Dragon Age: Inquisition though I knew something similar was up from early on. Still, by the time the game had ended I had convinced myself I was wrong, and so when the twist actually happened I was shocked.
