Do people actually buy apple pies from WalMart though? I mean I'm sure they do but I've just never seen it. Fresh-baked apple pie with vodka crust and vanilla ice cream is amazing.

Blake Shelton is bad yeah. But pop is both good, and a legitimate and real part of the American musical heritage. See for instance Elvis Presley.

I'm a native-born American, who has often been harshly critical of my nation on a number of levels. It's a democracy, so that's not just my right, it's my DUTY, and one I take seriously.

That said, our food is fucking terrific, we have incredible natural beauty of many different kinds, and there's a goddamn reason that the entire world loves our pop music, TV, and movies: we're really goddamn good at them.
