I bet you mean Mark Valley (Human Target and Fringe), Joel Gretsch(The 4400), and maybe Thomas Jane (Deep Blue Sea) and while I've never had trouble telling them apart, they do look similar.

Colin Ferguson is now in all those Maytag commercials (playing the personifications of a fridge, washers, dishwasher, etc.), by the way.
