My best dream: it was sometime around 1890 and I had been hired by a New England sea captain as a governess for his daughter, who was blind. There was this huge, awesome house and garden, and the captain had brought home all kinds of souvenirs from his travels that the little girl could explore by touching them.

Worst dream: I had cut off my cat's front paws with the anvil pruner. I was so happy when it turned out to be a dream.
