OP, If you want a Phantom musical adaptation that has him ending up with Christine (though the end results weren't pretty. I swear the big reveal with Meg being psycho was very shoehorned, IMO. In fact, the ending's a big mess, that I tend to call it via private circles, "LND = The Room of musical sequels" because it's one of those "so bad , so good" kinda things), you might want to check out "Love Never Dies". While not perfect, you have alcoholic!Raoul and probably the best duet when The Phantom re-enters back into Christine's life. A big part of me wished that Webber should have adapted Susan Kay's "Phantom" instead, but it's too late now.

Tips for making secrets that aren't for ants

1) Start here: https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=yhz_VdibFYWF-gHPhKegAQ&ved=0CBUQqi4oAQ

2) Enter search terms, such as "Phantom of the Opera poster". Then at the top, click "Search Tools"and click "Size", then select an option like "medium", "large" or "larger than 640 x 480" to filter your results.

3) Choose an image that's large as possible while still within FS guidelines (750x750px) and continue with adding text. Be sure to choose a legible font in a size that also isn't for ants.

4) make sure the font color is readable, if you're having trouble in this area, give the the text an outline in a different color

Thiiiiiiiiiiis. This secret didn't do that, but every once in a while there's a secret where someone's used light colored font on a light colored background and I think... really? How did the secret maker not get the memo about stuff like this?

Sometimes you don't even realize how small the secret is until it's up. That happened to me once; it was normal when I made it, but for whatever reason something happened when I saved it on tinypic.

Is the phandom really so different now? I mean, you couldn't throw a ballet slipper without hitting an Erik/Christine fic, usually with bonus asshole!Raoul, back in the day. And canon Erik/Christine, for a given value of canon, aka Love Never Dies, is actually a thing if you like the original musical. Admittedly I love the original musical and fucking loathe LND, but it's out there. And as for woobifying Erik, there was always E/C fic out there that dealt, okay, not realistically, but operatically, with how fucked up they'd be as a pair, while still shipping them. It doesn't have to be OOC fluff unless that's what you want.

I was going to say, I've never been in the fandom for this musical at all-I just liked the story ever since hearing a recording of it in sixth grade. But anytime I've come across anyone else who loves this story, Erik/Christine is always the favored pairing.

I remember wanting them to get together, too, when I was younger. Looking at the story now obviously I can see where that would turn out quite badly, of course. I still feel kinda bad for the Phantom, though.

Your comments about ways to ship them are spot on, too. Considering how popular bad guy/good girl pairings are in various fandoms in general, Erik/Christine would certainly fit right in, so...

Are you also the first to complain when text is very small and you have to zoom in to read blurry letters? Because that would be perfect.

I zoomed in too, but the image is so small the text gets blurry and I get a headache. Honestly it'd just be nicer if people made secrets larger in the first place. It's not any harder than making a small secret.
