I'm actually interested in how history can be taught via video games! There's been some work with it done - both in contexts of interactive games for kids actually at museums to help teach them about artifacts and such, and "real" games like Civilization and their potential to teach history. I'd be really interested in looking at that more in depth, and even the potential of massive world games like Skyrim to teach about a certain society and culture (even if it's fictional).

You could definitely use games like Skyrim and WoW to teach the skills needed for interpreting information about society and culture. It could then be applied to the real world.

I mean, with Skyrim you might be able to use add-ons to add some real world history. It'd be quite hard to create a detailed enough historical game set in whatever country and time period you need.
