Re: Cat Person or Dog Person
(Anonymous) 2015-09-20 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)...I'm more of a bird person myself. Even though I love cats and dogs.
Re: Cat Person or Dog Person
(Anonymous) 2015-09-20 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)JK I like both, but I've no interest in a pet dog. Well, unless its personality was... rarely barked, wasn't hyper and didn't slobber all over you, and didn't get mad separation anxiety whenever you go out of eyesight.
As far as people? I'm biased, but people who describe themselves as dog people tend to interest me less than "cat people". But seriously, it's a bias, and ultimately it's really weird that we compare these two animals so intensely.

(Anonymous) 2015-09-20 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)Better as a companion animal?
Better as an independent animal?
Better as a guard?
Better as a vermin hunter?
Better as a retriever?
Better as a portable heat station?
Better as a majestic wild animal?

Re: Cat Person or Dog Person
I was just thinking about how much I missed my best catfriend though. Then again maybe we got along so well because he thought he was a dog?

(Anonymous) 2015-09-20 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)Obnoxious dog people say that cats are evil, vicious, socio/psychopathic, w/e; and then talk about hurting or killing cats, before quickly covering with the 'just joking' defence.
I find the latter much worse.
As for dogs Vs. cats, I love both of them to the point of toddler-like distraction, so I guess just mark me down as 'animal person'.
Re: Cat Person or Dog Person
I don't mind dogs, but I prefer the less enthusiastic mannerisms of cats. I feel people who cannot understand that cats are not as enthusiastic than dogs... just don't get cats.
Also, my Mum is more of a dog person, but she's a dog person who understands cats.

(Anonymous) 2015-09-21 12:36 am (UTC)(link)But now my family owns a cat, and she's a total sweetheart and I adore and love her as much as I did the dogs we owned. I think they're both great animals/pets, and good stress-relievers as well :).
