Interesting thing is that some people can use Pokemon for explaining some things in biology (but ironically not evolution).

Like, I was having trouble with cohort life tables (like survivorship and stuff like that) and trying to make a table out of it with pokemon of various levels--using the level as their age and stuff--really helped me understand it. And yes, this was college-level biology stuff that I'd never encountered before and the professor himself tried to explain it but I wasn't getting it.

Also when I was in high school it did help with clicking into place things about adaptation. I mean, I could observe real animals as well but it really helped. Yes, sometimes I need something that I enjoy a lot to understand something.
