I think your younger self had some unrealistic deadlines, anon. That's not surprising, young people often have unrealistic ideas since they lack life experience. But it'd be a huge mistake to abide by the deadline made by the younger you who didn't know any better. Set some smaller, more realistic goals for yourself that helps mark your progress and that will be a lot healthier in the long run.
