I don't think it's you; I definitely think the show has changed. The tone is different, the plots are more convoluted, and the characters feel more...artificial? I'm not sure that's the best word to use, but it will have to do for now. I personally haven't really been able to watch with any consistency since season 6.

I also don't think you're a bad fan for feeling the way you do. I hate the idea that the only way to be a "good" fan is to like everything about a show/movie/book etc. It's totally possible to love something on the whole, but to not enjoy parts of it, or to fall out of love with it because something fundamental about it has changed.

ITA. These days the writing is unbearably arch.

I'll go back to the show when they start writing people again, instead of walking-talking speakers of clever lines.
