Wow, I didn't expect this.

I wonder if the actress wasn't enjoying the show?

At any rate, Clara has always been about my least favorite companion so this is not breaking my heart. I feel a bit weird about the idea of her leaving (like I said, it's a surprise, and if she's truly dead... Well, that was an unsatisfying and anticlimactic ending for her), but I won't necessarily mind having a new companion. (One that is hopefully a bit more unique. That said, I grew to love Amy and Rory, and although I think River was better in the beginning when she showed up less and was more mysterious, I never hated her.)

Tbh I kind of wish we could just have Missy... (Maybe that would eventually grow old, so it's probably best for her to pop up occasionally, but Missy was my favorite thing about the premiere. Other than her I was unimpressed.)

From the interviews I've read she loves working on Who, and they love her back, but her end story was mapped out over a year ago.

Huh. I wonder if this is her end or if she has another episode or two to go? (Even flashbacks or whatever. This episode...did not feel tense at all. I have a feeling it was supposed to, but nothing about it made me go, "Oh, shit is about to go down," and when Clara got blasted I just went, "That's it?")

At least they knew beforehand what they wanted to do with her character. I'm glad she enjoyed herself.

I hope this is true! I would at least like if she got a more fitting ending, with some closure with The Doctor.
