It's Vincent Price, a.k.a. the Best Horror Movie Guy Who Is Not Christopher Lee. You should go watch some of his movies!

Thank you for the answer and recommendation, anon. I'll see what I can do.

Some recommendations from a Price fan:

1) House of Usher (sometimes Fall of the House of Usher, 1960). Really most any of the loosely-based-on-Poe films he did are good watching.

2) The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971): He has the challenge of acting with his face seemingly immobilized for most of this film, but he meets it.

3) Theatre of Blood (1973): Especially fun if you like Shakespeare.

4) The Great Mouse Detective (1986, voice acting): This is a fun Disney film and Price really gets to go over-the-top, even by HIS standards, as the baddie.

Definitely watch the aforementioned Doctor Phibes. Then dig up The Raven - him, Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre and a very hot young Jack Nicholson. (Hell, any of Price in a Poe inspired movie is good). The original House on Haunted Hill is a good one. Oh! And Theatre of Blood - there's an awesome fencing scene in there that makes use of a trampoline! (That also has Shakespeare play inspired killings so warning you for a Titus Andronicus death scene..)

Oh! And he's the voice of Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective!

Price also did a fair amount of television in the '70s and '80s. One of the highlights would be his guest appearance on The Muppet Show. Pieces of it (possibly even the whole episode) are floating around on YouTube.

YES. MUPPET SHOW.
*cough*

Sorry. I just loved it when the Muppets went 'dark' - the episode with Alice Cooper was really fun, too.

I'm weirdly proud that I instantly recognised him, since I generally suck at face recognition and don't know all that many actors.
