I'm not against Natalia/Bruce, but I HATED her portrayal in the movie. And I wouldn't even accept it if it had been Clint in his place, when I ship those two. What I disliked was the way that she seemed not to have any progression between her emotions. All we saw was her suddenly being vulnerable, and throwing aside who she was in previous movies. For me, it was too jarring. Was there any questioning of her responsibilities? She was so deadpan about it toward Steve in Cap 2. And that's fine, I don't need a ship with her and him, either. Fic is fine. But fic can explore a whole lot more range of emotions than you can cram into a movie about an entire team of Avengers, without shoehorning a romance in on the side.

I basically felt like we just got that plot shoved at us with no development. I'm with you on people being hypocrites, but it doesn't mean that just because you dislike it doesn't mean it's an invalid viewpoint.
