I personally feel the same way about stoic man characters.

And honestly I think characters like Nat are purposefully made to be very stoic and tough to an extent that male leads aren't, in part because people automatically see women as soft and emotional so it needs to be more extreme, to some, for the term "tough" to really apply.

I'm not talking about male characters or the extent of how stoic Natasha is. I'm saying that when people say "it's good to see (female) so-and-so finally have a soft side, or vulnerabilities," it makes me think, "yeah I'm sure you like that."
