1. It's trek, and
2. You're making a big deal about "transphobia/cissexism/homophobia."

Either of which is stomping in my yard.

I'll give you #2 (sort of, since I'm sure you're not the only person affected by those things) but someone saying something about one of your fandoms is not "stomping in your yard".

OP is trying to start a tumblr-style social justice fight (complete with hyperbole, gratuitous f-bombs, and "banhammer") over something that's a dead horse in trek circles. And there's not much left to say about "The Host" other than to point out it's a painfully dated attempt from 1991 to wiggle the idea of a purely disembodied love past network censors. All of which has been talked to death. (Including the fact that gay and trans subtext in "The Host" is an after-the-fact interpretation.)

Because everyone who's into Trek has been there right from the beginning. No one could possibly new to the fandom and therefore unfamiliar with wank and debates that are considered dead horses by people who've been in the fandom for years.

Cripes, do you even hear yourself talk?

Which is why I'm explaining that "The Host" is a dead horse on multiple fronts, not just Trek but in terms of TV about sexuality and gender.

It's a dead horse because they don't want to talk about it anymore. No matter if apparently other people are still (or agai ) talking about it : it's dead when cbrach says it's dead! They are also the only person allowed to judge which Trek and LGBT topics are worthy of being talked about!

Oh, for Christ's sake, calm yourself

I'm perfectly calm. As far as I've seen it, the only one not calm in this whole thread is cbrach.
