Specific word choice based on the arguments given, which seemed to confuse sex and gender. Perhaps the language has changed since I've been much involved, but then 'gender' was gender and 'sex' was the physical body itself, including attached genitalia.

Since people upthread were arguing 'straight' should include, for women, being attracted to males currently inhabiting female bodies, I went for the more technical term, which usually applies more to genitalia. Since I was already doing it for one, it seemed rude not to apply the same standards.
