I feel that his later work suffers in comparison to Dress to Kill, but that's just because Dress to Kill is such a high water mark. It's like your significant other gives you gorgeous diamond jewelry every Christmas, and then one year he gives you your very own tropical island. Compared to that, next year's diamond necklace doesn't seem as impressive even though taken on its own merits, it's a pretty awesome gift.

Izzard on an off-night is still funnier than 99% of comedians working today.

I like Izzard, but I feel like if Dress to Kill didn't exist and we only had his recent work to go on... yeah, there's no way I'd back up that "funnier than 99% of comedians working today" claim.

I saw him on his most recent tour, and even if I didn't like some of the jokes, I still liked most of them. That's more than I can say for any other comedian I've seen in person.
