I love it because it's a show that is 1) wonderfully sweet and thoughtful about siblings and family and friendship, 2) insanely silly with a good dosage of 10 year old boy humor (although that's all nicely embodied in Mabel and not Dipper) and 3) genuinely scary at times. And it balances all of these things.
