I was doing a dungeon with random strangers today and one of them put up a fight at every turn, trying to tell us that we should be doing it the way they learned from probably-outdated videos, while I told them I learned the dungeon from doing it with different people every day this month and they were the first one I'd seen insisting on something different. They responded with "well if you saw people jump off a bridge every day would you?"

Immediately after that, we all took a well-known shortcut that nobody argued against, which involved jumping off a fucking bridge.

Actually, now that we have living campaigns, that's not so farfetched. The entire point is that it's regulated so you *can* take your character to any table anywhere in the world and be on par with the other players. It's a lot of fun, and you learn new things you wouldn't in your regular group rut.

in World of Warcraft there are contained high-difficulty environments, usually with a storyline and specific tasks to complete, that are meant to be attempted with multiple players; these are called 'dungeons' or 'instances'. You can form a group of players you're friends with and then enter the dungeon, or you can sign up to automatically be entered with random other players who want to go in the dungeon.

I don't know how many times I've fallen through the shortcut in Wailing Caverns. And the map there is shit and I'm terrible with directions.
