"Real women"? What does that mean in this context? People who haven't committed a sexual assault are real, too.

I understand that sexual assault is heinous. I'm not disputing that rapists should not go free. On the other hand, you think that murderers, slavers, abusers, etc., should be innocent until proven guilty, but the burden of proof in sexual assault cases should rest on the DEFENDANT? That's just ridiculous.

where are you getting your statistics?

are you really suggesting that 1 in every 3 and half women have been a victim of a sex crime?

Depending one which statistics you're going by, up to one in every four women have been victims of rape, and other forms of sex crime are a hell of a lot more common. I don't agree with ayrt's position, but their numbers aren't actually that far fetched.
