I love you madly just for mentioning The Philadelphia Story, and also for having an icon. I also think that pairing is awesome!

It is, without a doubt, one of the best movies of all time.

I don't think I've ever heard more romantic words than...

"You're lit from within, Tracy!"

Ah, such great writing. I love it so much. *happy sigh*

I may just watch it tonight XD

Never before did I think that someone telling me I was flesh and blood could be so beautiful.

Aaaaaah I think Dex is just the hottest thing ever. But the way they all talk is just amazing. It is really well-written!

Yeah. I need to watch it again now. XD

I actually almost threw my television out the window when I first saw High Society on TV for the first time.

I'm like, OMG!! YOU TURNED ONE OF THE SMARTEST COMEDIES EVER INTO A SHITTY MUSICAL??!?

DIEDIEDIEDIEDIE

LOL

I'm very protective of that movie ;) And yeah, it is well-written. I believe it's actually a play, which makes a lot of sense.

There's a MUSICAL? I HAD NO IDEA! Eeeeew that sounds heinous. Gah. I feel sick just thinking about it.

T__________T

It was a play! I think Katherine Hepburn was in the play version too. And I think it got Tony awards like nothing else, though I'm not sure about that. And I wouldn't be surprised, since it is SO. GOOD.

More plays need to be made into movies. They're already set up to be fantastic! Stop adapting books, Hollywood! They aren't supposed to be movies, and plays work so much better!

Yeah, it's called High Society, and it stars Grace Kelly in the Katharine Hepburn role, with Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra as the two male leads. While I love those actors, it's really crappy. Like, really crappy.

I agree with you 100% on doing more plays. I think the last play adaptation I saw was Closer, which was amazing.

Aaaah man, I love Bing Crosby! But I'm going to give it a wide berth, because I hate having things I love messed up T_T is nothing sacred???

There's going to be another adaptation of 'a Raisin in the Sun'! I'm really excited, because I love the play, but not so much the old movie.
