I don't think one occasion of briefly feeling compelled to tell a woman that she has nice legs really shows that he has a dark side that objectifies women. when I'm driving through town, I often think things like "wow, for some reason I really want to start driving my car down this busy sidewalk" for a split second, but I don't believe that I'm secretly harboring any genuine vehicular homicide related urges. people just get intrusive thoughts sometimes

Violent urges are one thing, but specifically anti-woman urges are another.

I do agree, but we can't always attack the bad in men, we do need to encourage when the make the right choice as well. Sure, you are right, it shouldn't have been a choice he had to make but this is a fight that needs to be made in baby-steps. He did right, pointing out what was wrong about it doesn't help anyone.

NAYRT but this sounds much closer to impulse than ideation, and frankly the way that anon described it does sound more like a real thought and less like intrusive craziness.
